ISO 26000:2010 is meant to supply organizations with guidance concerning social responsibility and may be used as a part of public policy activities. However, for the needs of the Marrakech Agreement establishing the planet Trade Organization (WTO), it’s not intended to be interpreted as an “international standard”, “guideline” or “recommendation”, neither is it intended to supply a basis for any presumption or finding that a measure is according to WTO obligations. Further, it’s not intended to supply a basis for legal actions, complaints, defenses or other claims in any international, domestic or other proceeding, neither is it intended to be cited as evidence of the evolution of customary law of nations. ISO 26000:2010 Guidance on social responsibility is a world standard providing guidelines for social responsibility (SR, often CSR – corporate social responsibility). it had been released by the world organization for Standardization on 1 November 2010 and its goal is to contribute to global sustainable development by encouraging business and other organizations to practice social responsibility to enhance their impacts on their workers, their natural environments and their communities.
